I've been homeless for as long as I can remember. I had a home and a family and a name, once, but now I have none of those things. During the day I roam the streets hoping to find a meal, and during the nights I sleep in the cold. At least, that's how it was until one particular night, the date unknown to me, only that it was wintertime and I was particularly cold. Hunger and cold kept me from sleeping, so I went looking through the alleys for food, anything that could fill my stomach. Shivering and deliriously hungry, I saw a white trash bin down the road that seemed to be glowing. Part of me, thinking that this was a hallucination, was concerned that my mental condition was beginning to deteriorate as well, but I followed my intrigue towards the bin. As I drew nearer, the glow around the rim of the closed bin intensified, just begging to be opened. I was shivering with fear and excitement, and before I had decided whether or not to open it, my hand reached out and did it anyways. And there it was, resting in the bin so peacefully, magically. A perfectly yellow, unbruised, glowing banana, like God himself had placed it there. I hesitated for a moment, totally unsure about what to do with this finding. But my desperate need for nourishment swept over me and I immediately began to salivate. I reached into the bin and without another thought, peeled and gobbled the still glowing banana in two bites. Within moments, I felt dizzy and everything around me started to glow, so brightly that I had to shut my eyes. A moment later I fell to the ground and that is all I can remember...
